Enrico Trujillo
Enrico Trujillo is a Taos-based artist, painter, illustrator, designer and multimedia developer whose work is rooted in the people, culture and visual language of northern New Mexico. His creative practice centers on the human figure, with a focus on Hispanic and Latino identity, cultural memory, family history and the emotional power of portraiture. His paintings often depict women, family figures and community members with a sense of presence and dignity. Through oil paint, he explores how identity is carried through the body, clothing, posture, gesture and expression. His work reflects the experience of living between cultures, histories and expectations, while honoring the everyday beauty of people whose stories are often underrepresented in fine art spaces.
